Community Paramedicine is a local medical and public safety program run by PHASTAR Corporation, a 501(c)3 non-profit. This program was developed from PHASTAR’s expertise in Public Health and Public Safety.
Community Paramedicine’s telehealth and Mobile Integrated Healthcare services are part of a new and emerging trend in healthcare that allows for an expanded role of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The program uses existing EMTs and Paramedics to address Community Health Needs, most often in under-served populations. Other medical professionals including Nurses, Physician Assistants, and Doctors are an integral part of Community Paramedicine programs.
Community Paramedicine is bringing back the medical house call.
